Assistant Coach
Coach Chris Terry enters his 2nd year at Coppell. He currently serves as the Assistant Tennis Coach. Coach Terry brings 21 total years of coaching experience. His past coaching experience includes Alvarado High School Assistant Tennis, Sweetwater High School Head Tennis, Trenton High School, McKinney High School Assistant Tennis, Idalou High School Head, Rankin High Head Tennis, and Boswell High Assistant Tennis. An impressive track of success, Coach Terry posts 3 Team Tennis regional semi finalist, 9 consecutive team tennis playoffs, 6 state qualifiers, and 8 College Tennis Signees.
As an athlete, Coach Terry played Tennis, Basketball, cross country, golf, and track at Roby High with tremendous accolades including 1st team Defense Basketball and State qualifier in Basketball and Cross Country. He went on to play Basketball at Cisco Junior College then moved on to Angelo State University earning a Kinesiology degree.
Away from coaching, Coach Terry enjoys Disc Golf and he doesn’t like coffee. His favorite quote, “whether or not you can never become great at something, you can always become better at it” -Neil deGrasse Tyson
CISD Athletics is filled with coaches that care. When asked “Why you coach”, Coach Terry responded “I have found so much joy and benefit from playing sports and I want kids to have a similar experience enjoying sports while improving themselves.”
